A couple of weeks ago, my sister Sandy shared with me an article in the NY Times about Biogen canceling their trial of an Alzheimer’s Drug. I had seen many articles on this but this one was different.
Phil Gutis, the author, was a participant in the trial and he wrote a first person account of what the cancelation meant to him and his struggle with Alzheimer’s. Before Alzheimer’s Phil was a reporter for the NY Times and Communications Director at the National Resources Defense Council.
I was touched by the article so I reached out to Phil to let him know what I was doing. After a few back and forth’s I asked him if I could play a ball for him. The Purple Ball at Starr Pass was for Phil.
