Purple Ball – Alberta Robertson

Laughlin Ranch reminded me of why I am doing this. Prior to going out I had a random encounter with Lanora Oches, the Office Manager at the course. I started telling her about what I was doing and she told me that her mom died of Alzheimer’s and what a horrible disease it is.

When I told her about the third hole and asked her if I could play for her mom she got very teary and said that she would be very happy for me to do that.

Her mom was very lucky for me and I pared the hole.

After the round I went to Lenora office to give her the ball. She teared up again, got up and asked if she could give me a hug.

Alberta was much loved as a mom.
